Kukolj Team Masterclass

When Aleksandar Kukolj started the first judo masterclass in Belgrade in 2025, he trusted us to create the event's complete visual identity and everything that goes with it. We made the posters, the social media posts and the club sign-up site, and we were at the event itself, which more than 300 participants attended.

The Challenge

Its first year, and already big names on the guest list

The masterclass runs for three days. Well-known champions lead the training, and anyone who trains judo can sign up, from age 7 to 77.

The event was new, so people first got to know it through posters and posts.

The brief came down to three goals:

  1. Recognition. A new event has to look serious from day one, and the same on a poster, a post and the site.
  2. Attention that leads to sign-ups. Posts inform people and also bring them to the sign-up.
  3. An easy sign-up for clubs. A club signs up its whole team at once, without lists and emails.

The Approach

  1. A recognisable look

The logo already existed. We added the "Masterclass" mark and the year of the edition, and built the look of the whole event around it. The first edition is blue and yellow, and for the second we moved to navy and gold. The colours change, but the brand stays recognisable.

With that look we made everything that gets printed: banners, posters, a big sponsor wall, badges on lanyards, and T-shirts.

The Kukolj Team Masterclass logo for 2026 over a line drawing of Belgrade
Four vertical 2025 banners on a building, one for each coach: Aleksandar Kukolj, Slavko Tekić, Hidayat Heydarov and Zelym Kotsoiev
Two accreditations on lanyards, one for a participant and one for a coach, each with a QR code
The 2026 press wall with the Kukolj Team Masterclass logo and the partners' logos
  2. Social media and filming

Social media was the main way to the sign-up. Before each edition we introduced the guests, published the programme and counted down the days, and every post led to the site.

At the event we filmed the training sessions and the atmosphere, and made the social media content from that footage.

The 2026 Welcome post with the edition's three coaches
Three 2025 posts on panels along a street: a call to sign up with the site on a tablet, the coaches' panel with Slavko Tekić, and a quote from Hidayat Heydarov
Two 2026 posts: a countdown with ten days to go, and Tommy Macias and Nikoloz Sherazadishvili under "Masterclass se vraća!"
  3. An easy sign-up for clubs

The site is in Serbian and English, with everything you need to know before signing up: who the guests are, the programme for each day, the venue, accommodation and prices.

Most sign-ups come from clubs with whole teams, so we made a sign-up where a club does everything at once. It enters its details, adds its participants and coaches, books the hotel and sees the total price straight away. Anyone coming on their own signs up through a shorter form for individuals.

For the second edition we also redesigned the site in the event's new look, navy and gold, and updated the guests, the programme and the prices. The structure and the sign-up stayed the same, because they had proved themselves in the first edition.

Three phones with kukoljmasterclass.com: a guest coach's card, the schedule by day, and the club sign-up with a participant being added

Where It Stands

A year later, when it was time for the second edition, Aleksandar got in touch with us again.

Planning an event?

An idea and a date are enough to start. From there we make the look, the posts and whatever else you need.
